Ingogo is currently offering riders the chance to score 250 Qantas Points for each of their first three taxi rides using the service, until 31 March 2017. That’s a total of 750 Qantas Points up for grabs.
I created my Ingogo account in 2014 but hadn’t actually used the service to request any rides until this week. On Tuesday, I took one taxi in Brisbane and one in Melbourne. I found the service and app itself to be great and the bonus points posted within 24 hours.
The advantage Ingogo offers over just making a regular taxi booking is that (1) fares are prepaid, (2) you can contact your driver again after the trip for lost items, (3) invoices are emailed automatically and (4) your credit card is saved on file so there’s no payment hassle upon arriving at your destination. Unlike Uber, Ingogo connects you with registered taxi drivers, making it more acceptable for work related travel.
After the promotional period, Qantas Frequent Flyers can earn 1 Qantas Point per dollar spent on the service.
